MAHLWINKEL. A devastating earthquake measuring 6.0 on the Richter scale has shaken the region around Mahlwinkel. What initially appeared to be an unpredictable natural event turned out to be a man-made disaster in the following days. In recent weeks, seismological stations in the Mahlwinkel area recorded alarming tremors at increasingly shorter intervals.
Experts observed an exponential increase in intensity until the earth's crust finally gave way under the enormous tension. The morning's toll is catastrophic: the power and water supply has completely collapsed, numerous buildings have been severely damaged, and vital transport hubs are impassable.

Immediately after the main quake, the communication networks of the two major factions, GOF and KGG, completely collapsed. Absolute radio silence prevailed until the afternoon. To avoid flying blind strategically, a dramatic logistical battle is underway: The factions are desperately trying to set up field relay stations and alternative antennas.
While the KGG is attempting to establish a connection from its own outpost to the heating plant, the GOF is pushing towards the command bunker. Meanwhile, the local militia is forced to procure vital telecommunication cables from the enclave to avoid losing connection to the outside world.

Furthermore, a coordinated supply convoy is intended to provide humanitarian aid to the heavily affected militia. Simultaneously, mobile geological teams are operating in the field to conduct field measurements on turbines "Lima" and "Bravo."
However, the situation remains a powder keg: At the headquarters and the enclave, the militia controls a critical "coil control" system that regulates the underground energy charge. Should the values of the control units deviate too much from each other by evening, the next, all-destroying seismic eruption is inevitably threatened.

The second day of the crisis brings a sad certainty: to avert the catastrophe permanently, the particle accelerator running deep beneath Mahlwinkel must be physically interrupted. However, since the facility is deeply embedded in rock, the scientific faculty of the Enclave plans dangerous test drills during the morning.
Each faction must secure one of these drilling devices with massive protective measures to identify the exact spot for a controlled detonation and the associated chain reaction.

However, the cause of the tremor does not lie in the Earth's tectonic plates. According to investigative reports, the local wind turbines in Mahlwinkel act as surface catalysts for a top-secret project. Deep underground, gigantic energy storage systems were charged via the wind farms, which now suddenly discharge at critical moments.
These massive energy flows activate an underground apparatus – presumably a modified, former particle accelerator connected to CERN technologies. The result is an artificially generated singularity, which directly triggers the devastating tremors.

In a final feat of strength, the main factions KGG and GOF launched a major offensive on the wind farms from the ongoing battle. The primary objective of the units is to hold and reprogram the wind turbines to prevent an energy discharge that would, with sufficient certainty, lead to the destruction of their own headquarters.
Only through clever coordination of the factions, especially the courageous intervention of the emergency forces, could the catastrophe be stopped and the threat averted from the population.

Two factions, one dangerous discovery – and a failed plan.
Both the GOF and KGG leadership had a great idea. They both ordered the new bestseller from Kampfmittel24.de: Project E.V.E. According to the manufacturer, this green, volatile liquid was supposed to turn a simple fighter from either faction into a kind of super-soldier, invincible and ultra-strong. This probably would have worked. However, the inhabitants of the region had integrated an intelligence service into their militia, which was able to intercept this information.
So it happened that on an early Friday morning, the helicopter that was supposed to deliver the order, with four containers on board, suddenly and rather quickly went down unexpectedly. Why, no one can say for sure. A recorded radio message still contained something like "Incoming fire! Missile!... *Static* *Explosion*".

Project E.V.E. shows effects – just not the ones expected.
Now it was up to the numerous fighters in Mahlwinkel to rush to the aid of the crew and, of course, secure the valuable cargo. However, as the contents had become unstable due to insufficient cooling and damaged containers, it wasn't long before the first unfortunate individuals came into contact with it.
The effect, however, was different than expected. Shouts of "Zombies!!!" echoed across the field.

Many fell victim to these creatures. People from the KGG, GOF, and the militia alike. So what was left but to try to collectively contain the "unfavorable" situation?
Militia General Sherlock did accuse the other parties of having allowed this stuff to be brought there in the first place, but due to necessity, he agreed to work together on the matter.
Eisen and Eurobass, the generals of the KGG and GOF, agreed, along with their commanders IrrE and König. However, since both GOF and KGG wanted to get their hands on the original material again, fighting quickly broke out again, of course.

While GOF and KGG fight, the militia, with the help of the Enclave, secures the cargo.
In the end, both GOF and KGG mobilized their complete forces to secure the crashed helicopter with the last remaining sample, but the militia was one step ahead of them.
They had coordinated with the neutral task force of the nearby Enclave of the United Parties to recover the sample through highly skilled technicians.

Under heavy fire from the advancing GOF and KGG, they managed to secure the last containers of Project E.V.E. and destroy them with thermite.
